Coronas Leaving You Sires Multiple Qualifiers To Rich Lassie and Laddie Futurities

VINTON, LA—APRIL 30, 2016—Multiple stakes sire CORONAS LEAVING YOU sire three finalist to the $298,012 Louisiana Lassie Futurity(RG2) on Friday night and one finalist to the $281,007 Louisiana Laddie Futurity(RG2) Saturday night at Delta Downs.

Both race finals will be contested at 330 with the fillies slated to run Friday, May 20th and the colts and gelding on Saturday, May 21st.

San Lorenzo Lady broke her maiden in the 11th trial Friday for owner Rogelio Marques, Jr. to set the 7th fastest time of :17.041 seconds for the Lassie Futurity. Martin Trejo conditions with David Alvarez riding. Richard and Janelle Simon bred the sorrel filly from the First Down Jewel mare First Down Hemp. She is a half-sister to leading Louisiana sire Jet Black Patriot.

Coronas Prize Dolly broke her maiden in the 9th trial, her first career start, for the partnership of Jason Richards, Michael Leblac and former leading Quarter Horse jockey Tami (Purcell) Burkland. Kenny Roberts trains the filly out of Fast Prize Dolly, by Shazoom. The brown filly posted the 9th fastest time of :17.067 seconds for the Lassie Futurity. Weetona Stanley is the breeder.

Im La Leaving was second to the fastest qualifier in the 14th trial to post the 10th qualifying time of :17.097 seconds. Juan Sacucedo trains the brown filly out of Say La V, by STOLI, for Daniel Perez. Nip Tuck Partners is the breeder.

In Saturday's Laddie trials First Prize Bourban won his first career start by three-quarters for owner Charles Bourdreaux, Jr. Kenny Roberts trains the gelding who posted the 6th fastest Laddie Futurity qualifying time of :17.024 seconds.
